St. Gerard Majella Parish, 121 Dawn Drive, off of Hamil Road in Penn Hills is happy to announce the we are now a PAPER RECYCLING LOCATION!!
Bring your NEWSPAPER AND INSERTS, MAGAZINES/CATALOGS, OFFICE/SCHOOL PAPERS AND MAIL/JUNK MAIL to our Paper Retriever Container located in our upper parking lot. Please, no cardboard, no food boxes, fiberboard or chipboard, no textbooks or hard cover books and no phone books. RECYCLE YOUR PAPERS EVERY WEEK! Our Annual Christmas Remembrance Night will be held on December 19, 2011 7 p.m. At Riverside Community Church Plum Creek Presbyterian Church will offer free educational seminars. Each will be from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. followed by questions and answers. There will be a fellowship dinner at 5:30 p.m. Donations will be accepted to cover the cost of the dinner. A toddler nursery and older child care will be available from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Hospice 101 is being offered on Wednesday. Dealing with Grief During the Holidays is slated for November 16. All donations are tax deductible. 12th Annual Veteran’s Day Service Scheduled Burket-Truby Funeral Home Cremation & Alternative Service, Inc., 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont, will hold their 12th Annual Veteran’s Day Service. It will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011, in the parking lot at Burket-Truby starting at 8:30 a.m. If inclement weather prevails, Riverside Community Church (next to the funeral home) will host the even inside. Music, Speakers, Door Prizes and continental breakfast will be served.
