Anthony E. Dzik, 98 of Cheswick passed away on Thursday morning, October 12, 2017 at Broadmore Senior Living at Lakemont Farms, Bridgeville. Born on April 10, 1919 in Superior, PA he was a son of the late Jan (John) and Wladyslawa (Laura) Dzik. Beloved Father of Kathleen Haines of Pittsburgh, David (Karen) Dzik of Washington, and Debra (David) Mock of Cheswick. Adored Grandfather of Jessica Haines, Emily and Rachel Dzik, and Maxwell Mock. He follows Sophie, his wife of 63 years into everlasting peace. Brother of the late Irene Kaczynski, Regina Woodman, and Casimir J. Dzik. Anthony worked for Consolidated Coal Company and later was a federal mine inspector for the Bureau of Mines. He also raised cattle and farmed in Russellton, PA. He loved spending time with his family, riding in the country, traveling, listening to Polish music, and sharing experiences with other farmers and coal miners. Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, October 16, 2017, 10 a.m. St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Kenneth Kezmarsky officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hope Catholic Cemetery, Frazer Township. Donations may be made in his name to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 750 Pittsburgh St. Springdale, PA 15144.
