Parker Thomas F. and Delores G. suddenly passed away together on November 16th at Barclay Friends senior living community in West Chester, PA. Devoted parents of Kathryn McGill (Kenneth), Barbara McDonald (Bruce), and Marilyn Parker. Loving grandparents of six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Adored aunt and uncle of Karen Parker Davis (George) of South Carolina. The Parker's lived their lives in the Rosedale section of Penn Hills in Pittsburgh, PA until moving to West Chester in 2014. They are both are predeceased by brothers, Charles Parker and Sherwood Gray. Thomas 92, son of the late Charles and Ada Parker, was a proud WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. He completed 24 missions as a nose gunner on the B-24. After the war, he attended both the Robert Morris School of Business (Robert Morris University) and the University of Pittsburgh. He then worked as the treasurer for the S.H. Bell Company for 39 years. Delores 89, daughter of the late Sherwood and Gladys Gray, volunteered for numerous organizations throughout her life, most notably at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville. Both Delores and Thomas were longtime and dedicated members of South Avenue United Methodist Church where they each served on various committees. They will be remembered as kind and caring people who above all cherished time with their family. Friends and relatives will be received during a Memorial Visitation from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Private interment for the family will be at Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations to Doctors Without Borders or the Alzheimer’s Association.
