Jane H. Lawrence, 76 of Oakmont passed away Monday morning October 3, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Dwight and Freda Huston. Sister of Mollie (Erica Peitler) Lawrence and the late Linda Gleissner. Aunt of Scott (Stephanie) Gleissner and the late Dan (surviving spouse Mandy) Gleissner, Jr. Cousin to Jaye (late Carol) Gamble, Becky (late George) Eynon, Donna Larson, Carl "Skip" (Linda) Siverling, Judy (late Joe) Ludwig, Suzanne (late David) Eynon, Dr. C.C. “Chip” (Judy) Huston III, Tom (Margo) Huston, Jim “Jimmy” (Sonya) Huston, Jane Huston, Jean Huston, Bob (Pam) Huston. Jane moved to Chicago at age 21 where she lived most of her adult life- focusing her expertise in media in the advertising business. She also lived in Los Angeles for about 5 years. She made a mark in her career working at several advertising agencies and media companies including: J Walter Thompson, Ogilvy & Mather, Western International Media and Initiative Media. She was in influential roles, and was very respected in her industry. Jane was on the Patient Advocacy Board at West Penn Hospital and the Oakridge Condominium Board. She was also a supporter and volunteer of The Blessing Board in Oakmont. She was also a regular supporter of numerous charities… most notably, several organization that support Wildlife and Animal Rescue. Jane had several close lifelong friends. She always valued her family.. such that she moved to Oakmont in retirement to be closer to them. She built a really nice life here! Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday October 13th at 11 a.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139. Interment will follow at a later date at Knox Union Cemetery, Knox, PA. In Lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh.
