Vincent E. Pogacar, 74, of Monroeville passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020. Son of the late Stanley and Anna (Winschell) Pogacar. Beloved Husband of the late Anita (Glauser) Pogacar. Dear Brother of Bernadette (late John) Flajnik, Stan "Skip" (Tricia) Pogacar and the late Charlotte (David) Birks. Uncle of Lynda (Paul) Dougherty, John Flajnik, Jr., Tom Flajnik, Dennis (Lisa) Birks, Brenda Birks, and the late Bob (surviving spouse, Cindy) Flajnik. Vincent “Vince” retired as a cement finisher and foreman from Mascara Construction Company. He worked on the US Steel Building (UPMC Tower), Pittsburgh International Airport and Heinz Field. He was a 40-year member of the Cement Masons’ Local 526 and a 50-year member of the Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association. Vince was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan and enjoyed horse and dog racing. He also had a passion for new and classic cars. He was a devoted dog owner his entire life with a fondness toward the Scottish Terrier breed. A memorial mass will be held at a later date. If desired, donations may be made in his name to the Western PA Humane Society or local food bank. Services and interment are private.
