Nuhfer, Elizabeth Caityln

“A fragment for my friend – If your soul left this earth I would follow and find you Silent, my starship suspended in night.” Elizabeth Caitlyn “Liz” Nuhfer, 36, of O’Hara Township passed away on Thursday November 5, 2020. Born on September 14, 1984, Elizabeth is the Beloved daughter of Noel Thomas and Dianna Lynn Nuhfer, who were privileged to be her parents. Elizabeth was a 2002 graduate of Fox Chapel High School and was active in fencing, equestrian riding, dance and choir. She went on to achieve a B. A. in Psychology from Chatham College where she participated in amateur dramatics; a Master of Research Methods in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland; and an M. S. in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University. Elizabeth was most recently a PsyD candidate in Clinical Psychology and aspired to work with young adults. Elizabeth loved cats, rabbits, sewing, tea, morning glories and sunflowers, Alice in Wonderland, and Ella Fitzgerald. She spoke French and was studying Japanese, and had just taken up her brush again to paint in oils, a hobby she began in college. Elizabeth traveled the world with wonder, visiting Machu Pichu, the Brazilian rain forest, London, Edinburg, Glasgow, Dublin, Mont-Saint-Michel, Paris, Stockholm and southern Sweden, Antwerp, Hong Kong and Sydney, and she toured the length of New Zealand. She will be remembered for her life of kindness which brightened our lives, and for her courage. Elizabeth is greatly loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She will never be forgotten.
