Anthony J. "Tony" Mastrocesare, Jr., 73 of Penn Hills passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at his home. Born in Pittsburgh on December 13, 1946, he was a son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Morzilli) Mastrocesare, Sr. Beloved Husband of the late Jackie (McKay) Mastrocesare. Dear Brother of Henry (Mary) Mastrocesare, Mary Jo (Jerry) Kenna, Sr., and the late Jimmy and Albert Mastrocesare. Tony was a member of Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Catholic Church and retired from Cleveland Brothers (Beckwith Machines). He loved to work with tools and build race cars. Tony served in the Vietnam War while stationed at Tahkli Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand. He was a crew chief on a EB-66 Bomber assigned to the 41st electronic warfare squadron from 1967-1968. Tony received the vietnam service medal, the National Defense Medal, the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Air Force good Conduct Medal. After his over seas duty was fulfilled, he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base until his Discharge as a staff sergeant. Friends and relatives will be received on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 2-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Masks and social distancing required, no more than 25 people in the funeral home at a time. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 14, 2020, 12 Noon Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Catholic Church) Interment will follow in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township, next to his wife. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, 600 River Ave. Suite 400, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
