Rinchiuso, Louise M.

Louise M. Rinchiuso, 86, born November 20, 1934 passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Presbyterian Senior Care Center surrounded by her family. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Marion Southward. Born in Tarentum, PA, Louise married James Rinchiuso and they moved to various cities including Chicago and Richmond while building a family of five children. The family finally landed back in PA where they spent most of their lives. Louise was not just a mom to her five children but she took in so many friends and family members over the years. She was a self-taught seamstress and designer of wedding and bridesmaids gowns, exclusive interior fabric designs, as well as elaborate costumes. She was fearless in taking on complex projects — everything she made by hand seemed to sing! She touched so many people through her creativity. She was often described by her kids’ friends as the hippest mom ever! She was a fierce reader, a lover of classic movies and art, an amazing cook; but her biggest joy in life was the time she spent with her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved first son William and her brother Barry. She is survived by her ex husband James, her brother James (Cheryl), her children Michael (Kathy), Gina (James), Suzanne (Michael), and James Jr. (Dalva). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Thomas, Cristina, Nina, Isabel, and Michael Jr. In lieu of a service, a private celebration of family will be held to honor the life of Louise.
