Pazman, Charles George




Charles George Pazman, 83, of Murrysville, Pennsylvania, (formerly from Plum, raised in Oakmont) peacefully passed at home with his family by his side on Friday, February 5th, 2021. Chuck loved his wife Angela of 62 years and was a proud father to Chuck Pazman (Cheryl), John Pazman, and Julie Wright (Douglas). He was a devoted Pap to Michelle Bowman (Candice), Alyssa Andreoli (Francesco), Abbigail, Jacob, Allison, Noah, Macey, Mitchell, Eli, and Evan Wright and great-grandfather to Hayden Wright. He was the full tuition recipient of a four-year Caddie Scholarship given by the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association (Oakmont Country Club) and graduated from the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1960 with a dual major in Music and Education. Chuck was a dedicated elementary music teacher for Franklin Regional for 30 years and introduced over 1,500 students to instrumental music. He also was a coach for the high school golf team for over 20 years. Throughout his life, he instilled his love for music and golf in his children and grandchildren. He spent his retirement enjoying many cruises and repairing and refurbishing musical instruments. He took pride in being choir director and singing for Our Lady of Joy Parish in Holiday Park. Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be remembered for his patience, hard work, and quirky jokes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Katherine (Martinec) Pazman, his sister Freida Grgurich, and son John Pazman. He is survived by his brother William Pazman (Jean), a niece, and several nephews. Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, February 8, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Masks and social distancing required, no more than 25 people in the funeral home at a time. Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 10:30 a.m. Holy Family Parish ( Our Lady of Joy Catholic Church, Plum). Interment will follow in Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Education Through Music to change education and create equity for thousands of students.
