Joseph A. De Renzo, 84 of Pittsburgh passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021. Son of the late Catherine (Seppi) and Joseph De Renzo. Father of David A. De Renzo (Maribel) of Deland, Florida. Grandfather of Denice (Neesy) De Renzo. Brother of Albert De Renzo (Carol) of Vero Beach, Florida. Uncle of Joshua A. De Renzo (Meredith) of Louisville, Kentucky and Kara R. Robert (Christopher) of Longwood Florida. Great Uncle of Alec and Grey De Renzo, Katherine and Rocco Robert. Joe served in the United States Army and Reserves from 1955-1962. During part of his active services, he was as PFC stationed in South Korea. In the late 1960's, Joe volunteered with the Penn Hills Fire Department. He was an active member of the American Legion and enjoyed playing bocce ball with the members. Joe also looked forward to fishing in the Indian River with his brother, and, visiting with his son, David, on his trips to Florida. Joe loved his family, and, his family loved him in return. Joe's family extends our deepest appreciation to The Southwestern Veterans Center's doctors, nursing staff, and, administration for the high quality of care, friendship, and respect they afforded Joe during the time he called the Center his home. Oakmont. Masks and social distancing required, no more than 25 people in the funeral home at a time. Private interment will be in Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
