Christine M. Vilsack, 71 of Oakmont passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. Beloved Daughter of the late Carl G. and Margaret E. (Herman) Vilsack. Dear Sister of the late Gregory L.Vilsack. Chris is survived by her first cousins, Bill (Barbara) Henninger, Mary Alice Price, Mary Kimmel Blackmar, Lisa A. Jackson, Thomas J. (Christine) Vilsack and many other loving nieces, nephews and relatives. Christine was born in Pittsburgh and attended Oakmont High School and Edinboro University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Education. She pursued her passion for teaching throughout her adult life in the Riverview and Penn Hills School Districts. Christine will be remembered for her unselfish compassion and kindness to others, her wonderful sense of humor, and leaves behind a legacy of courage and love. The level of support she received from her close friends simply can’t be measured. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, 10 a.m. at Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Catholic Church), Oakmont. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her name to The K.C. Henninger Sokol Foundation, P.O.
