Heilman, Susan J.

Age 63, of Indiana Township passed away on September 12, 2021. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Clara Heilman and sister Joanne of Ford City, PA. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law William and Cindy Heilman of Cleveland, Ohio. Her extended family included her nephew and his wife, William Jr and Lindsey Heilman, and their two children Emma and William III, and her niece and her husband, Brianna and Alexander Phillips. Sue was a warm and welcoming person and thus had a large network of loyal friends who loved and cared for her. They will miss her and remember her fondly. Her talent for nurturing and sustaining friendships was a defining part of her legacy. Sue was an exceptional professional registered nurse. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with her BSN and continued her professional education with a Master Policy Management, Healthcare Management from Carnegie Mellon University. Sue served as Director of Cardiology Services at UPMC Shadyside until embarking on a career as a cardiovascular consultant whereupon she was Director of Health Care Economics at Medtronic, Inc. and next served as Senior Vice President at Corazon Consulting. All of those who were privileged to know her knew that she was tireless and passionate in her efforts to provide the best for her patients and clients. She will be truly missed! Friends will be received during a memorial visitation on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 2-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Avenue, Oakmont, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish (St. Irenaeus Church), 387 Maryland Avenue, Oakmont, PA on September 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery Ford City, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Brother’s Brother Foundation, 1200 Galveston Ave., Pittsburgh PA 15233.
