Zucco, Angeline




Angeline Zucco, 95 (formerly of Renton) died peacefully on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 with family by her side. Angeline was born in Lowber, PA on April 18, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents Giovanna and Biaggio Bodo, Silvio Zucco, her husband and the love of her life for 42 years, her eldest son Elmer Zucco, oldest grandchild Tony Zucco and her brother Albino Bodo. Angeline is survived by her children, Mary Santucci (John) of Plum, Toni Mesiarik (George) of Elizabeth, Leonard Zucco (Becky) of Plum, Sylvia Zucco of Murrysville, daughter-in-law, Margie Zucco of Mercer PA, 12 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, and her brother Arthur Bodo (June) and sister-in-law, Anita Bodo of Steubenville, OH, along with many nieces and nephews. Angeline treasured her grandchildren making Christmas and Easter holidays memories that will last their lifetime. She proudly spent endless hours enjoying their sporting events and dance recitals. Angeline was a homemaker while raising their children with Silvio in Oakmont and later became a Teacher’s Aide at Saint Anthony School for Exceptional Children in Oakmont where her late husband Silvio also worked as Maintenance Director. After retirement they moved to Renton, PA into the home that Silvio had built years prior for his parents. Angeline was a devout catholic and active member of St. Januarius Roman Catholic Church in Renton, PA where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, Vice President of the Altar Society and member of the Parish Council. Annually she volunteered at the parish dinner fundraisers. Her favorite past time was tending to her beautiful garden, cooking Italian meals for her family, baking delicious cakes and cookies, but most of all spending time with her family who she loved and cherished. The Zucco family extends their gratitude to the caring staff at Presbyterian Senior Care where she resided for the last 8 years. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation in her name to Presbyterian Senior Care Benevolent Fund, c/o Presbyterian Senior Care, 1215 Hulton Road, Oakmont, PA 15139 or Clelian Heights School for Exceptional Children, 135 Clelian Heights Lane, Greensburg, PA 15601-6665. Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 2-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont.
