George C. "Butch" & "Abe" Abram, 79 of Penn Hills passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Cherished Husband for 54 years of Arlene (Natolino) Abram. Loving Father of Michelle (David) Gallagher and Michael (Nancy) Abram. Beloved Papa of Haley, Gabrielle, Tyler, and Ryan. Loving Uncle of Kristen Kavannaugh and Karolyn Dector. Brother of James (Joyce) Abram. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Duquesne University in Education. George then taught for 11 years at the 5th Avenue High School that later became Brashear for the next 25 years where he served as the athletic director, a psychology, and a history teacher. He was a mentor to many students and people, always willing to help. George enjoyed traveling, his grandchildren, and was known as "Mr. Christmas." Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. Mass of Christian Burial St. Joseph the Worker Parish (St. John Fisher), 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022, 33 Lewin Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 (Everyone Meet at Church). In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish or World Wild Life Fund.
