Jane C. Harshberger, 83, was
welcomed into Heaven on September 23, 2022. She passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford
due to metastatic breast cancer. Jane was born May 20, 1939 to the late Harold and Malvene Palmer. Her younger sister, Ann Palmer, also preceded her in death. Jane is survived by Debra and Tim Hines- her daughter and son-in-law. Jane was a 1957 graduate of Ken High and a 1959 graduate of Robert Morris College. Throughout her career, she worked at Alcoa in Pittsburgh, Central Office Products in New Kensington, and Alpha Carb Enterprises in Leechburg. Upon retiring, Jane never passed up the opportunity to help. For 20 years, she made a positive impression on young minds by volunteering in her
daughter’s first grade classroom in the New Kensington-Arnold School District. Jane was a faithful member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church in New Kensington. Her favorite pastimes were playing the piano, knitting, and taking good care of her puppy Gracie. Jane demonstrated tremendous courage and faith with the challenges she faced throughout the course of her lifetime. Her loving and compassionate nature will be forever missed. The many friends who visited Jane during her final months cherished the time they spent with her. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exemplary care given to her by St. Margaret’s Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospice. A private burial will take place at the Verona Cemetery in Oakmont, Pa. There will
be a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Abundant Life Fellowship Church located at 884 Kenneth Avenue, New Kensington, Pa. 15068. Rev. Roger C.
