Murphy, Diane

Diane A. Murphy, 78, of Murrysville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 21, 2022. She is survived by Dennis Murphy, her beloved husband of 56 years. Loving mother of Christina (Steve) Sadoski, Tim (Donna) Murphy, and Jeff Murphy. Sister of Dave (Mary Edith) Cicola and the late Father Alfred Cicola. Grandmother of Aidan, Colin, Ethan, Keira, Gemma, and Rowan Sadoski. Step-Grandmother of Zachary and Jessica Lloyd. Diane was a member at Our Lady of Joy Church, and a former member of St. Joseph's in Verona, where she organized the lay ministers schedule for many years. Diane worked as Secretary when Denny was Parent Teachers Guild (PTG) president and enjoyed working in the library at St. Joseph’s where her children attended. Diane worked tirelessly as a “night-turn” nurse at Allegheny General and St. Margaret’s in Aspinwall. Later in life, she returned for training to become an ICU nurse. Prior to her retirement, she finally enjoyed regular hours at the Pain Management Clinic at St. Margarets. She accumulated friends along the way. Diane loved getting her family together, and was thrilled when she moved from Rosedale to Murrysville where she had more space to gather friends and family. She enjoyed people stopping over to visit, especially when her grandson came to cut the grass and stop in for a beverage or granddaughters made plans to come bake or visit and watch movies. No matter what challenges she endured she remained hopeful and steadfast in her positivity and faith, setting a high standard for others. To know her was to love her. Friends and relatives will be received on Monday, October 24th, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Tuesday October 25th, Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 825 2nd Street Verona, PA 15147.
