Robson, Edwin




Edwin G. Robson, 87, of Penn Hills, passed away Friday, Dec. 2, 2022. Edwin was the beloved husband of 60 years to the late Elizabeth "Betty" Robson; loving father of Cathie (James) Rich Jr., Jeff (Laura) Robson and the late Susan Robson; grandfather of Heather (Chris) Ross, Shae (fiancee, Ryan McLane), Renee and Bryce Robson; great-grandfather of Taryn and Asher Ross. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Alfie. Edwin graduated from Robert Morris College, where he received a degree in Accounting. He went on to work all of his life at Westinghouse, starting in Forest Hills and finishing his career in Monroeville. Known to be a very notable party-planner for the company, he planned many holiday parties, bingo nights and family picnics. Edwin loved to play tennis and golf, playing tennis into his 80s and volunteering at the U.S. Open golf tournament when hosted at Oakmont Country Club. Ed was one of the four Bracioli boys of Verona; a lifelong group of friends he cherished and told many stories about. Edwin loved his sweets from Oakmont Bakery, enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra and cheering for all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. Ed dearly loved and spoke about his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and made it a priority to attend their sporting events and functions. Friends and relatives will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES INC., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the funeral home. Edwin will be laid to rest at Good Sheperd Cemetery, Monroeville, next to his wife, Betty. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the compassionate friends.
