Anthony "Tony" J. Abriola

Anthony “Tony” J. Abriola, 88, of the East End of Pittsburgh, passed peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Margaret and Michael Abriola. Loving father of Michael (Deborah) Abriola, Mark (Christina) Abriola, Michelle (Shener) Ulke, and Lucas Abriola. Cherished grandfather of Emily, Melissa (R.J.), Jessica (Allison), Megan, and Aleena. Brother of Patricia (late Frank) Catanzaro.

Tony grew up in the Larimer Avenue area of Pittsburgh, where he developed a lifelong love of golf, photography, and cheering for Pittsburgh’s beloved sports teams.

As co‑founder of Lockwood Abriola Sales Inc., he was committed to his business, cultivating enduring personal and professional relationships throughout his career.

In 1987, Tony founded a golf league known as Tony’s Turtles. What began as a golf league became so much more—a tradition that continues to this day and has served as the foundation for countless friendships, stories, and memories shared over more than 30 years. Tony’s Turtles brought people together and created a lasting legacy that continues to connect all who were fortunate enough to be part of it.

He will be deeply missed by his family and friends and will be remembered for his charisma, his warmth, and his ability to bring people together.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 28, 2026, from 4–7 p.m. at Burket‑Truby Funeral Home Cremation and Alternative Services, Inc., 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139. A blessing service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Tony will be interred at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
