Carolyn "Joy" Arndt, 82 of Verona passed away on Sunday December 18, 2022. Daughter of the late Emily and Edward Moritz. Beloved wife of the late Roger Arndt. Loving mother of Chris (Tracy) Arndt and April (Walt) Schwarz. Grandmother of Walter ( Meredith) Schwarz, Roger (Jess) Schwarz, Shawn (Emily) Schwarz, Ashley (James) Kostick, Alyssa (Anthony) Bachner, Alaina Schwarz, Austin (girlfriend Ashley) Schwarz, Heather (Aaron) Ward, and Roger Arndt. Great-grandmother of Walter, Molly, Dallas, Daylee, Swayzee, Conor, Colton, Gemma, Callen, Elora, Roland, Aiden, Eva. Sister of Vicki (John) Connell, Audrey Cincutti, and the late Sandra (late Joe) Kraus, and also survived by many nieces and nephews. Joy was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Oakmont and was known as a very giving person. She loved crafts and to color. Joy worked at the Oakmont Bakery for over 16 years, starting back at the original location on the boulevard and loved her time and relationships made over the years. Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 on Thursday December 22 from 2-7 p.m. where a funeral service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. with Father Jeff Murph officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
