Barbara "Babs" Susanne Frick, 65, peacefully passed away on April 1, 2024, surrounded by her family.

Barbara treasured the simple things in life and, as an avid gardener, enjoyed spending time outdoors bringing color and beauty to the world through her flower gardens.  Barbara was also an excellent baker and made holidays special by decorating extravagant cakes for family gatherings.  Barbara's true passion was her family.

Her love for her four children David Fiori, III, Sally (Kasey) Tuttle, Andrea Frick and Jake (Shannon) Frick, was endless.  They will always remember her as their ray of sunshine, who worked tirelessly to ensure that everyone felt her love and warmth.  Barbara was blessed to be "Gam Gam" to four grandchildren – Elijah, Madelyn, Henry, and Jacob – who will carry on her legacy of kindness.

Born to Florence and the late William Gerber in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on July 11, 1958, Barbara was one of seven children: Mary (Mike) Lee, Steve (Rhonda) Gerber, Bill (Maryanne) Gerber, Donna (Karen) Gerber, Donald (Bunny) Gerber, and Rhonda (Bobby) Peterman.  She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Diagnosed with cancer in June of 2022, Barbara's strength and faith was an inspiration to all.  We will miss her affection but let us celebrate her life and all that she meant to us, finding peace knowing that she is surrounded by the love of many.

Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish – St. Joseph's Church, 825 2nd St. Verona, PA 15147.  Committal prayers and entombment to follow at The Verona Cemetery Mausoleum in Oakmont.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
