Brian Patrick Kiser, born on May 27, 1963, passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2026.
Brian is preceded in death by his devoted wife of 27 years, Kathy Bosco Kiser; his parents, Clarence “Butch” and Mary Kiser; and his sister, Brenda Sansone. He is survived by his son, Michael Kiser (husband, Matthew Blackey); his siblings, Steven Kiser (wife, Virginia Kiser) and Maureen O’Reilly (husband, Kenneth O’Reilly); and the other great love of Brian and Kathy’s life, their dog, Willie.
Brian loved his family fiercely, and one of his favorite roles was being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews, whom he cared for deeply. Even those who never met them often felt like they knew them, because if Brian had your ear, chances are you heard all about them.
Born and raised in Needham, Massachusetts, Brian grew up alongside his siblings, forming lifelong bonds and memories. If you were fortunate enough to hear some of the stories from his youth, you’d know there was a fair amount of mischief behind that handsome smile.
Brian had a lifelong passion for all things science fiction and The New England Patriots. Many family members and friends fondly remember time spent with him watching his favorite shows and movies, often accompanied by his narration to make sure you didn’t miss the important parts.
Brian had a long and successful career in IT engineering. He began his career working for IBM and Lotus and went on to spend the last twenty years at TrueCommerce, where he concluded his career as a Senior Systems Administrator.
Brian met the love of his life, Kathy, while working at the same company in Boston. He often recalled the moment she walked into the room on her first day, taking his breath away. As he would say, it was love at first sight. Together, they built a life rooted in love, companionship, and shared joy. They eventually moved to Pennsylvania to be closer to Kathy’s family, where they continued to create lasting memories.
Brian and Kathy shared a deep compassion for animals, rescuing many dogs over the years and giving them loving homes. Their kindness and generosity extended into all aspects of their lives.
Brian and Kathy are now reunited, leaving behind a legacy defined by love, laughter, and loyalty. He will be remembered as a beloved husband, devoted father, cherished brother, loving uncle, and a friend whose presence brought warmth and joy to those around him.
Friends and family will be received on Wednesday April 1, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont PA 15139.
