Carol Ann (Frownfelter) Jensen, age 95 of Oakmont, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Saturday April 5, 2025.  She was the daughter of the late Reginald and Katherine Frownfelter of Carrick, PA.  Beloved wife of the late Edward Jensen.  Loving mother of Eric (Lisa) Jensen, Guy (Penny) Jensen, and Jennie (late Donald) Wilson.  Grandma of Lily (Christopher) Farina, Margot Wilson, Lukas and Gabrielle Jensen, and Stacey Miller.  Great-grandma of Frances Farina.  Sister of the late Robert Frownfelter.

Carol was born in Carrick on April 30, 1929.  She graduated with high honors from Carrick High School in 1947.  Further, she was a Fine Arts graduate at the University of Pittsburgh.  Carol was a distinguished member of the Mortar Board, Emeritus Member of Pi Delta Epsilon, and was named to the OWL'S Hall of Fame, and was nationally recognized for her work on a national publication.  In addition, Carol won several beauty pageants.  She worked at the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as a librarian until retirement.  Carol was a kind, friendly, and generous person.  She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, cats and dogs, and accepted all strays, most of all humans.  She was an avid bridge player.
Carol would have liked people to enjoy nature and take a deeper interest in the world around you.

There will be future services and burial at Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
