Carole "Lee" (McClain) Schultheis, 81, formerly of Monroeville, passed away July 9, 2023, at Greensburg Care Center.
Born April 30, 1942 in Redstone, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Mary Ann (Kish) McClain.

Lee was a graduate of Uniontown Senior High School and California State College in California, PA. She was a former teacher at Seneca Junior High in the Penn Hills School District. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her pet cat, working in her yard, golfing, camping, fishing, and hunting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Schultheis; a brother, Charles "Bud" McClain; and sisters Madelyn Faye (McClain) Gardlock Mele and Mary Jane (McClain) Haftl Liberatore.

Lee is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Kissel and her husband Ben of Latrobe; two grandchildren, Jessica (Kissel) Petrovich and her husband Justin of Latrobe, and Daniel Kissel and his wife Casey (Fuga) of Greensburg; two great-grandchildren, Christopher John Petrovich and Theodore Joseph Petrovich; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lee's family would like to thank the staff at Greensburg Care Center for their excellent care of Lee over the past three years. Also thank you to Bridges Hospice for their recent care.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial graveside committal service at 10:30 a.m.  on Friday July 14, 2023 at Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Verona, with Father Daniel C. Mahoney officiating. Everyone please meet directly at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lee's name to any animal charity of your choice.
