Charles G. Canelakes, age 92 of Harwick, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 27, 2023 with his longtime significant other Barbara Kiser by his side.  He was the son of the late Helen and Louis Canelakes; who were born and raised in Sparta, Greece.  Husband of the late Patricia (McGrady) Canelakes.  Predeceased by his siblings John, Jim, and Mary.  Brother-in-law of Alex Canelakes.  He is survived by many nieces and nephews including Tina (Mike) Jones, Amanda (David) Zajac, Justin (Kerrie) Jones all of Tampa, FL and Chris Canelakes of Texas.  Charles was born in Emmittsburg, Iowa and raised in Storm Lake, Iowa.

He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church and was a Chief International Auditor for U.S. Steel Companies.  He was a proud Air Force Veteran.  He then traveled all over the United States and abroad, enjoying gourmet foods and wines, often frequenting famous restaurants.

There will be a private mausoleum chapel service and entombment at Mt. Royal Cemetery with Air Force Honors.  If desired, Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Hospice.
