Charles (Chuck) Heath, of Penn Hills, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by his immediate family on January 11, 2024. He was born on July 13, 1944, in East Liberty, PA, the only child of Charles Heath and Angelina Franco.
Chuck, known to the lucky ones as Dad, Pappy, or Uncle Charlie, is survived by his beloved wife, Dee; beautiful children, Jim Heath (Stacy) and Dana Pecora; five grandchildren, Caleb, and Luke (Heath); Vienna, Angelina, and Giovanni (Pecora). He was a tremendous part of his grandchildren's lives as both a grandfather and father figure. His work ethic and unconditional love and family bond were felt profoundly. He will be missed dearly.
From the Grandkids – Pappy, when we saw you, we saw a teacher, role model, a strong leader and great example, a hard worker and a family man. Most of all we saw a legacy that we are proud to be part of. We Love You to the Moon and Back.
Chuck was a 1962 graduate from Peabody High School. He met his future beloved wife, Dee Black at a dance in Butler, PA. Chuck and Dee just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary in August with a grand celebration. He so looked forward to celebrating this milestone. Chuck discovered his strengths and talents early in life. He is a self-taught carpenter who built a 2nd floor addition to his home where he raised his family. He found he enjoyed this work and decided to start his own successful business.
Chuck had an amazing restorative talent and enjoyed the challenge of analyzing problems, identifying what was wrong and finding a solution. Through the years, he received countless calls from family/friends/customers seeking his advice on home issues. It just came naturally to him to design housing plans and execute them. He had such an amazing gift and talent for being able to custom build anything and was always sharing his knowledge of carpentry. Chuck was a tough guy, but also had a gentle and kind side. He would lend the shirt off his back, never expecting to receive someone else's. He did what he could for those that he loved. He was also a famed storyteller and enjoyed listening to his Doo-wop music.
