Cletus H. Lee, age 91 of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2024.  He was the son of the late Julia and Cletus Lee, Sr.  Beloved husband of 43 years to the late Marianne C. Lee.  Loving father of Janine (Jack Jr.) McVay, Mark (Anne) Lee, and Tony (Jenny) Lee.  Grandfather of Katie, Leo, and Rocco Palmer, Greta Lee, Tallulah Lee, and Finnley Gollick.  Son-in-law of the late Mary Jane Collins. Brother of the late Tom, Bob, Bill, and Jim Lee.

Throughout his life, Clete was always willing to put family above his own comforts and even, for a time, took numerous jobs outside of Pittsburgh, sending money and letters home.

Clete was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church of Oakmont.  He graduated from The University of Notre Dame, and was a member of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  Clete was an accountant specializing in hotel book-keeping. He worked at numerous local hotels including the Carlton House Hotel and the Pick Roosevelt where he met his wife Marianne, "The best thing that ever happened to me" as he would always say.

Clete was a wonderful father & grandfather and never missed a birthday, Christmas or an opportunity to bring a cake to help a loved one celebrate.  He was as generous as a person could be.

As a resident of Oakmont, Clete was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Presby Senior Care.  He could frequently be seen in Oakmont, neatly dressed, walking and greeting his neighbors.

Clete's spirit of sacrifice and giving will be remembered by all who knew him--family, friends and neighbors--as well as his enthusiastic kisses to the top of one's head.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday January 7, 2025, from 2-4 and 6 - 8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday January 8, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish - St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont.

Interment at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
