David Paul Bodnar born, August 6,1933 was one of 13 children, born and raised in the Lincoln- Lemington section of Pittsburgh, later lived in Oakmont.
He graduated from Westinghouse High school and Chicago Technical College. He was a draftsman by trade and worked for Columbia
Gas, then Swindell-Rust international.
David proudly served as a corporal in the army at Fort Riley, Kansas from 1953-1955, with an honorable discharge to the reserves.
He was the family historian and loved the outdoors, being an avid fly fisherman and enjoyed hiking.
He was devoted to his faith and to his church. He is survived by his dear sisters Helen DeRiggi, and Mary Louise Vescio, and his brothers Joseph and Richard.
He will be remembered as a very kind and loving man by family and friends. A private memorial service is scheduled. Arrangements entrusted to the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., Oakmont.
