David M. Mauro, 72 of Springdale, with his family by his side, passed away at Shadyside Hospital on Thursday April 16, 2026 after a month's long diagnosis and battle with pancreatic cancer. Dave was the son of the late John and June Mauro. Beloved husband and sweetheart of 49 years to Joan (Mackos) Mauro. Loving Girl Dad of Karly, Katey (Rob), and Kristy (Matt). Pappy to Nolan and Wyatt.

Brother of Steve (Megan), John (Pam), and the late Denny (surviving Connie).

Dave found his greatest joy in the simple things that made life meaningful. He loved spending time on the golf course, working on cars, and especially taking pride in his red corvette. He also dedicated many years working alongside his brother and father at their service station in Oakmont, a place that reflected his strong work ethic and love for family. Dave was also known as a great karaoke singer, always bringing fun and laughter to those around him. More than anything he cherished his wife and three girls, sharing countless memories, traveling together, and relaxing at the beach. He was a devoted Pappy, who adored his two grandsons, always taking every opportunity to spend time with them and shower them with love and "the claw". He was deeply loved by many good friends who truly adored him. His presence, kindness, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends and family will be received on Monday April 20, 2026 from 2-8 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont PA 15139.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Parish - St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont. Everyone please meet at the church.
