David Edmund Tibbens went home to his savior and Lord on November 13, 2024.  He was born December 30, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA and resided in Pittsburgh all of his days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette Horner (Clarence) and Frederick Tibbens, Sr., and his brother Frederick Tibbens.

He graduated from Peabody High School.  David served in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve as an aircraft maintenance specialist.  He worked in the auto parts industry for many years.

David was loved for his sense of humor, gentle loving heart, and devotion to his family.  He was a member of Forged in Faith Church, and he served on missions teams to Cambodia and Mexico.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darlene (McKamish) Tibbens, and children; Michael (Suzanne) Tibbens, Stephen (Jackie) Morgan, Jason (Deborah) Morgan, Kathryn Morgan, Daniel (Dianne) Morgan, Victoria (Dylan) Witte, Stacy (Matthew) Kerfoot, and Nason (Helle) Tibbens.  He is survived by 25 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday November 16, 2024 from 2-4:30 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139.  Services to start at 4:30 p.m. in the funeral home followed by Air Force honors.
