It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Michael Vizzini, 66. A dedicated husband, father, and beloved grandfather, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 25th, 2023.

Doug was born on August 29th, 1956 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Ross Vizzini and Charlotte Burd. He graduated from Edinboro University in 1980 with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design, and was an active member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity.

Doug spent over 40 years as a creative director in Erie, Pennsylvania, working with businesses to develop local and national advertising campaigns. In his later career, he founded his own advertising agency, Vizzini Creative Inc. with his wife.

In his free time, Doug was most content playing his guitar with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He also enjoyed performing at local restaurants and wineries with his band Doug and Linda Acoustics and friends. He could often be found at home sitting on the porch enjoying the weather or watching a summer sunset over Lake Erie.

Doug was well known for his dedication to his work and his family, but always made time for a stop at Hanks Ice Cream.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Linda, his daughter Valerie (Daniel Scalise), son Christopher (Antionette), grandson Nicholas, daughter Emily (Brady), granddaughter Charli , and daughter Maggie (Arie). He is also survived by his father Ross Vizzini husband of Rosemarie Vizzini. He is preceded in death by his mother Charlotte Burd.

A viewing is planned for Wednesday, May 31st at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A blessing service will be held on Thursday June 1st, at 10:30am in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org.
