Edward J. Bartosiewicz, aged Seventy Three, of Oakmont, PA. December 5th, 1951 - July 8th, 2025.
Son of the late Edward and Regina (Gollon) Bartosiewicz. Survived by his Children Matthew & wife Danielle, Lucas & wife Alison, and Cecelia; and grandchildren, Warren Edward and Gunnar Varek. Brother of Frances Saxon & the late George. Elizabeth Mahoney & the late Terrence. The Late Cecelia Zunic, & the late Joseph. Christina Bartosiewicz. Uncle to many nieces and nephews
Edward was born and raised in Highland Park, attended St Raphael School, and graduated from Central Catholic High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He successfully ran the E.J. Bartosiewicz Agency for many decades, succeeding both parents in the Lawrenceville business. Ed also served as board member and President of Allegheny Valley Bank, and President of the Lawrenceville Rotary Club.
A faithful and active member of the Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church in Oakmont, Ed volunteered many years as board treasurer and provided great memories in the kitchen with close friends and family during the annual festival. He was commended with the St. Photios award by the Diocese for his service to the church.
Edward, a lifelong outdoorsman, spent his lifetime among generations of good horses and fine dogs. As a trainer and AKC judge he enjoyed field trialing and riding and was always happy to introduce many a friend and relative to horsemanship. Ed in his younger years was an active athlete and with his children achieved high black belt status in both Se Jong and Cho's Tae Kwon Do.
Whether waking the house with great music in the morning while hitting the heavy bag, returning from the barn, or taking his coffee out to the office, Edward was the first motivator in the day and a positive influence for anyone who was near. A helpful hand for anyone who asked, a good friend, grandfather, father, brother, son, cousin and uncle. His presence, influence, and jovial character will be missed dearly by all who knew him. We wish you well on your journey, Father. May you and Arthur ride on to be with those that went before you.
