Frank "Chip" Francis Altmar III, age 66 of Pittsburgh passed away unexpectedly at home on his birthday, May 1, 2024.  Born May 1, 1958 he was the son of the late Jacqueline and Frank Altmar, Jr.  Loving brother of Cameron (Heather) Altmar, Leslie Altmar, and Joyce Schempp.  Uncle of Ryan Schempp, Christian Urban, Shelby Urban, and Patrick Altmar.

Chip was a great athlete earlier in life playing soccer, track, and wrestling.  He attended Washington and Jefferson College and played soccer while studying and completing his Bachelor of Arts.  His greatest passion was his love for his nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday June 1, 2024, from 11 AM to 12 PM Noon at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. at 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.

Additional celebration of life will continue from 12 PM Noon to 3 PM at Vinnie's Tavern in Oakmont.
