Fred R. Hague, age 96, passed away May 10, 2025, at Rebecca Residence at Concordia. He was born October 14, 1928, in Munhall, PA the son of Fred R. Hague Sr. and Mildred Hazel (Collier) Hague.

After graduating from Munhall High School, he served in the U.S. Navy. He attended the University of Pittsburgh ultimately earning his Doctorate. He began his career in education teaching in Mt. Lebanon School District. He left the classroom and began his administrative career in Fox Chapel School District.  Over the years he served as principal of most of the various schools in the district before he moved into the district offices retiring as the Assistant Superintendent.

In retirement he remained active as a volunteer at St. Margaret Hospital. He was also a volunteer usher, floor, and house manager for the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
On Valentine's Day 1946, when he was a senior in high school, he asked Jean Graham to a dance. They married in 1952. It was a marriage that lasted 60 years. To that marriage was born 4 sons. Fred and Jean enjoyed travelling, Australia, New Zealand, London, Paris, Italy were a few of their grand trips. Williamsburg was their favorite destination going there many times. And many happy weeks were spent at the family's summer home in Van Buren Bay, New York.

Fred is survived by sons Fred III, Robert (Betsy), and Thomas, grandchildren David Hague (Malorie), Brian Hague (Brandi), and Annie Hague Martire (Ryan), and great grandchildren Andrew Hague, Samantha Hague, Gregory Hague, Sawyer Hague, and Amelia Hague. He was predeceased by his wife Jean, son William, and grandson Robby.

Service will be at Shadyside Presbyterian Chapel 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 21st, 2025.
