Richard Thomas Hanus, age 86 of Oakmont, passed away Wednesday November 9th, 2022 at his home. Son of the late Andrew and Anna Hanus. Beloved husband to the late Darlene (Peneschi). Father of Andrew (Jacqueline) Hanus, Mark Hanus, and Douglas Hanus. Brother of the late Fred Hanus. Grandfather of Evan, Zachary, and Jake. Rick graduated from Duquesne University and played on the golf team. Rick's early career he worked for Harbison Walker, Dravo and PNC Bank. He later became a member of the PGA (Professional Golfers Association). During this time, he worked at Highland Country Club, Butler Country Club, Wildwood Country Club and Schenley Park Golf Course. Rick was a member of St. Irenaeus Catholic Church in Oakmont. He was an active member at American Legion Plum Post 980 and the Eagles of Verona. Rick was a proud Air Force Veteran and will be laid next to his wife Darlene at a graveside blessing ceremony on Thursday November 17th at 10:30 am at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville PA.
