James C. Ray, Jr. (Turk) age 64 of Verona on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, unexpectedly departed to meet his heavenly father and to reunite with loved ones he dearly missed.

Beloved husband of Michele.  Stepfather to Kylee (Wes) Hargenrader, Donald (Nicole) Lohr, Nathan (Joy) Lohr, and Adam (Marissa) Lohr.  Also survived by eight grandchildren.  Brother of Charles (Carlene) Ray, and Arthur Ray.  Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents James C. and Louise (Zevola) Ray, brothers Alberto Zapata and Ronald Zapata.

Turk was a welder by trade.  Turk's heart was full, he loved hard and always put others needs before his.  All people die but not all people live.  Turk LIVED and would tell you he's going to live the way he wanted to, which he DID.

Per his request, there will be no viewing.  Friends and relatives are asked to arrive at 10:30 a.m. on Monday February 26, 2024, at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave., Oakmont, PA 15139 to join in line of a funeral procession to Mt. Carmel Cemetery for an 11 a.m. Chapel blessing service and burial officiated by Sister Lynn Miller.
