Jeremy D. Gilroy, age 42 of Verona, went to be with the Lord after search and rescue efforts on Wednesday November 15, 2023.

He was the beloved son of Sylvia Zucco and the late David A. Gilroy. Loving brother of Jen (Mike) McNamee. Cherished uncle of Carter and Hallie.

Jeremy was the kindest person you would ever meet. He would do anything to make sure those around him were happy. He enjoyed fishing with friends, playing poker, bowling and spending time with his family especially to cheer on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. He was also a fantastic writer unbeknownst to most. He had a heart of gold. He was happy with the simple things in life – family,
friends and his faith.

A Chapel Blessing service and burial will be held at Plum Creek Cemetery 670 Center New Texas Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15239 on Friday November 24th at 10:30 a.m. with Sister Lynn Miller officiating.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the local and city municipalities for their efforts in bringing Jeremy home and giving their family peace. Following the chapel blessing, there will be a memorial open house at Marquis Place Clubhouse 1000 Marquis Place, Murrysville, PA 15668. A memory box will be displayed at the hall. The family will find comfort and healing in privately reading your memories left in the box. The family discourages sending flowers to the cemetery, instead please send to the personal residences of the family.
