Jesse A. Dapra, Jr., age 75, of Monroeville, PA, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on June 27th, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Jesse was a man of God and served as an ordained elder of the Presbyterian Church of America. Because of his deep faith and personal relationship with Christ, he did not fear death, rather he rejoiced in the fact that he would finally be with his Lord & Saviour. Jesse's prayer is that you look to Christ alone for your salvation so that you too may eternally stand with him in the glory of God Almighty.
He was born October 2nd, 1947 to the late Blanche (Ayers) Dapra & Jesse Dapra, Sr.
Jesse graduated from Penn Hills High School in 1965. He then joined the US Air Force where he served in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge from the US Air Force, he attended the University of Pittsburgh where he received his Bachelor of Arts in 1974. He also attended the Culinary Institute of America in New York where he received his Associate in Occupational Studies Culinary Arts with High Honors in 1977. He worked as the general manager for Victoria Station for several years and then transitioned to working in financial services as a Financial Advisor until his retirement.
To know Jesse was to love Jesse. He was a caring, funny, hard-working man who would do anything for anyone. He had a love for music and you could always catch him jamming to his favorite bands, like The Doors or The Eagles. He enjoyed cooking, especially for his family--who will forever be trying to master his spaghetti sauce. When he wasn't cooking, you could find him fishing or on a family trip to any amusement park, as he loved riding rollercoasters. But
most of all he enjoyed being around his family & loved ones, who will miss him so dearly, but cherish his memory and the life he lived.
He is survived by his beloved and faithful wife of 39 years, Deborah (Cawley) Dapra.
He was the loving and devoted father of Heather (Jeff Dublin) Blazovich, Erik (Brea) Dapra Sr., Marissa (Elijah Long) Dapra, and Jesse (Samantha) Dapra III. He was the cherished grandfather of Erik Jr., Alyssa, Aubri, Collin, and Carena. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Lauric and brother-in-law, Doug (Carol) Cawley; as well as many nieces and nephews, who he dearly loved.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Donna Dapra; his brother-in-law, Gene Lauric; and his sister-in-law Karie Cawley.
