Joan Mathiott Murdy, age 91, of Harmar Township passed away on Monday March 4, 2024, surrounded by her loving daughters.  Daughter of the late Mildred and Fred Mathiott. Devoted wife of the late John "Jack" Murdy III.   Loving mother of Joyce (Mark Dixon) Murdy, Maureen Townsend, Arlene (Jim Chisholm) Mariani, and Melissa (Dennis) Robinson.  Grammy of Aaron Robinson, Rebekah (Mike) Witz, James (Anne) Mariani, and Heather (Michael Cleveland) Zoric.  Great-Grammy of Jimmy, Heidi, Cait, Emmy, Taylor, Tyler, Aly, Doug, and Denny.  Also survived by her beloved kitty, Peepers.  Throughout Joan's life she was active in Girl Scouts, her church, the PTA, and the R.C.A.C. in Oakmont.  She also enjoyed going to casinos in Las Vegas and throughout the Northeast.  During her working years, Joan worked as a secretary at Westinghouse for over 25 years. In her retirement, Joan enjoyed spending time in Florida.

Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday March 7, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139.
