John J. "Big John" Carassanesi, age 82 of Cheswick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 18, 2025 at UPMC St. Margaret's. Loving son of the late Nick and Zelinda Carassanesi.  Beloved husband of Hildegard Carassanesi.  Loving father of Nick (Eileen) Carassanesi, John H. Carassanesi, and the late Casey Welch.  Grand-Pap of Nick Jr., Craig, Eric, and James.  Brother of Henrietta "Chicky" (late Tom) James and Domenic "Butch" (Prilla) Carassanesi.  Also survived by his niece Erica Edwards.

John was a distinguished member of the Polish Club in Harwick.

The family held a private blessing service followed by burial at Deer Creek Cemetery in Russellton with Air Force Honors.
