John Youk, 93, of Verona, PA, passed away on Easter Sunday March 31, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 6, 1930, in Verona, PA to Catherine Kinder and John Youk with his twin sister Francis Lucas.

John served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict, demonstrating bravery and commitment to his country.

He was a devout member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, finding solace and community in his faith.

John was a postal worker whose hobbies included playing golf, bowling, and playing senior softball. He was a valued member of the Verona Eagles and served as a trustee for many years.

John is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 71 years, Mary Youk, his children Vicki Leasure, David (Linda) Youk, and John (Ada) Youk, grandchildren Michael (Rebecka) Leasure, Casey Youk, John Henry Youk, and Anna Youk, and great-granddaughter Sophia Leasure.

John was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kelly Leasure, and grandson, Chris Leasure.

John Youk will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
