Joseph Michael Klein

d. January 24, 2026

Pittsburgh

Joseph Michael Klein, 72 of Pittsburgh passed away on Saturday January 24, 2026 with his two daughters and nephew by his side, also known as Joey and Joe, he was a feisty sibling, uncle, friend, and a very loving devoted dad, papa, great-papa, and fur-daddy to his fur-baby, Pumpkin. He loved his family very much and would do anything to help them.

He enjoyed going to flea markets, gun bashes, train shows, coin shows, going to his monthly luncheons with his retired postal friends, and going to all you can eat buffets. His favorite dish was stuffed peppers, and he made a breakfast spread like none other. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and his favorite driver was the iconic Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in car #88. Joseph loved to work on vehicles and became one heck of a mechanic- not one thing he couldn't fix. He also had his own towing business, his goal in life was to become a mechanic for the U.S. Postal Service and to retire there; he persevered and accomplished that goal. One of his kids favorite memories is going on tows with him and sitting in the back as the lights were flashing. Joe's love language was to give, and as an organ donor, his final act was being able to give to others in need.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary E. Klein, his parents Margaret and Leo Klein, siblings Mary Elaine Klein and Arthur Klein, and nephews Bryan DeLandro and Christopher Gschwendtner.

Survived by children Karl Boscia II, Mary (Mark) Ginter, and Susan Lynn (Ovin) Oudit. Papa of Karl, Natasha, Mary, Ashleigh (John), and Orianna. Great-Papa of Maksym, Ryland, little Johnny, Matthew, Elianna, and Delilah. Brother of Kathleen Stahli, Margaret "Margie" (Mike) L. Gschwendtner, Wayne R. Klein, and Blair Castello. Also survived by 8 nephews, 5 great-nephews, 3 great-great nephews, 2 nieces, 5 great-nieces, and 3 great-great nieces.
