Josephine "Jo" E. Ambrose, age 104 of Fox Chapel passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 5, 2024.

Daughter of the late Cecelia and Frank Shanta.  Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Edward Ambrose.  Loving mother of Edward (Jeannie) Ambrose of Oakmont and Carol (Richard) Killigrew of Fox Chapel.  Meme of Heather (Peter) Stumpp, Elizabeth Ambrose (Steven Johnson), Bridget (Carlos) Barroto, Michael Killigrew, and Edward (Caroline) Ambrose.  Great-Meme to four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by Frank (Vicki) Shanta, Mary (John) Galamb, Charles (Lorraine) Shanta, Cecelia Shanta, Theresa (John) Tuschak, Elsie (Russell) Adams, Joseph Shanta, Ella (Roy) Arp, and Rudolph (Dorothy) Shanta.  Jo loved to garden, loved needle arts, and baking especially Christmas cookies.

The family held private visitation, blessing service, and burial at Plum Creek Cemetery.
