Josephine P. Labriola, age 87, of Penn Hills, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning September 9, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Viglietta) and Pasquale Macioce. Beloved wife of the late Gerald E. Labriola, Sr. Loving mother of Gerald E. Labriola, Jr., Patricia A. (Richard) Pirollo, and Joyce L. (Tom) Doyle. Grandmother of Andrew (Dina) Pirollo, Maura Doyle, Arianna (Josh) Labriola, Robbie Doyle, Richard (Allison) Pirollo, Gerald (Yessica) Labriola III, Colleen Doyle, and Patrick Doyle. Great-grandmother of Joey and Olivia. Josephine was predeceased by her brothers Pasquale (Mary) Macioce and Anthony (Julia) Macioce and her sister Bernadette (Pete) Sandrock.
Josephine loved her family and was fiercely proud of her holiday meals and Italian traditions. She was famous for her cookie tables before cookie tables were famous. For over thirty years Josephine went to lunch every Friday with her family and loved her trips to the casino. Known as "Mimi" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she never missed one of their ball games or musicals.
Friends and relatives will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 on Tuesday, September 12 from 2-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Bernadette Church of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish 245 Azalea Dr. Monroeville, PA 15146 on Wednesday, September 13 at 11 a.m. with Father Edwin Wichman officiating. Entombment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery.
