Judith Ann Mason, 74, of Pittsburgh, transitioned to her eternal home with God after a courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.

She was born November 4, 1948, daughter of the late Robert Mason and Laura Veaney. Judy's passion for life was boundless. Adoring and loving mother of one son, Richard Slaughter (Carolyn) and two doting grandchildren Isabella and Aric, of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by a sister, Tamara Mason and brother Robert Mason, and a dear friend William Burleigh all of Pittsburgh.

Judy was a fitness enthusiast, seeker of knowledge, a loyal friend, excellent mentor and TIRELESS advocate who devoted her life to empowering those in the communities around her. She spent the last 26 years with Dollar Bank as the face of 'Mortgages for Mothers' and 'The Way Home', serving as VP of Community Development. Her dedication was unwavering, and acknowledged through many awards targeting her dedication of steering more than 10k individuals toward home ownership and generational wealth.

Arrangements entrusted to the JOHN N. ELACHKO FUNERAL HOME. Friends are welcome on Monday July 3 from 1PM until the time of a Celebration of Life Service that will follow beginning at 3PM at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., 421 Allegheny Ave, Oakmont, PA 15139. Those who loved and admired her are invited to join and honor her enduring legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests providing lily of the peace plants or donations to the Foundation for Women's Cancer.
