Justin Orbich

d. April 4, 2026

Oakmont

Justin Orbich, 50 of Oakmont, passed away on April 4, 2026, after a short battle with liver disease. He faced this challenge as he did so many others in his life, with quiet determination, strength, and dignity.

Justin lived each day devoted to caring for his family and friends, always placing others before himself. He was a trusted mentor and a dear friend to many of his coworkers at UPMC, where he served as a Senior Manager in the IT Engineering group. Through his leadership and example, he made a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him.

A passionate coach and advocate for youth development, Justin dedicated countless hours to coaching baseball and flag football with the Riverview Athletic Association and, more recently, he was the assistant wrestling coach at Riverview Jr./Sr. High School. He believed deeply in the values that athletics instill: discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and character; and he cared about the personal growth of every athlete he coached, striving to prepare them not just for competition, but for life.

Justin loved to smoke meat, often offering to cook in excess for any occasion. He loved to work on the house and was a helping hand to anyone else with a home project. He was the founder of the “turnpike league” our family fantasy football league created for his nephew and to connect cousins, aunts and uncles across the state in competition.

Originally from Castle Shannon, Justin was a graduate of Keystone Oaks High School. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from John Carroll University and later completed his Master’s degree in Information Systems Technology at Duquesne University.

Justin is survived by his wife, Meghan, and his cherished sons, Owen and Ian, who were the center of his world. He is also survived by his siblings, Leigh (Kristen) Orbich and Matthew Orbich; his parents, Regis (Krissy) Orbich and Tamara (Tom) Fallon; his grandmother, Caroline Frazier and his adored nieces and nephews: McKenna, Jack, Ellie, Molly, Maeve, Liv, Violet, and Levi and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly.

Justin will be remembered for his selfless devotion to family, his commitment to mentoring others, his sarcasm, and the quiet strength with which he lived his life. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched—as a husband, father, son, brother, coach, leader, and friend.
