Karl Johnston

Karl Johnston, of Oakmont, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026.

Karl was the beloved son of the late Ceone Johnston and the late Karl Johnston. He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Toss Johnston, and his son, Mark Johnston.

A 1957 graduate of Penn Hills High School, Karl continued his education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania before earning his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. He enjoyed a successful career and was respected for his intelligence, dedication, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Karl had a passion for golf and could often be found enjoying a day on the course. He was fluent in Spanish, a skill that reflected his love of learning and communicating with others. Known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, Karl brought laughter and joy to those around him. He also enjoyed dining out with family and friends, creating many treasured memories over good meals and conversation.

Karl will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, intellect, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Interment will take place beside his beloved wife at Allegheny County Memorial Park.
