Keegan William Clontz, 12 years old, of Plum, passed away on August 12, 2023 in Plum.

Funeral services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, August 26th at St. John's Baptist Church, 444 St. John St, Pittsburgh, PA 15239, with Deacon Herb Riley, officiating.  Everyone meet at the Church.

Burial will follow for immediate family only.  Invite-only Luncheon proceeding the burial.  Arrangements entrusted to Burket-Truby Funeral Home.

Keegan was born in Plum, Pennsylvania to Casey & Jennifer Clontz on January 14, 2011.  He attended Holiday Park Intermediate School, and was preparing to start junior high at Plum Middle School this year.

Keegan was his father's shadow – be it helping others, hunting, fishing, or socializing. One of his favorite pastimes was riding his mini bike while his dad watched, though he equally enjoyed it when it was his dad's turn on the bike!

As much as Keegan was his father's shadow, he was a true momma's boy. He loved her fiercely and if he could've put a GPS tracker on her, he probably would have. His days started and ended by hugging and loving on his mom.

Keegan was the best big brother. He loved his sister and was an expert at torturing her, as only a brother could. When they teamed up they could convince their dad to do pretty much anything they wanted. They had to work significantly harder to convince mom.

Keegan greatly enjoyed spending time with his grandparents.  He looked forward to Friday dinners with Mimi and Pap. He loved watching movies with his Pap, especially those disapproved of by his Mimi. He cherished spending time at the lake with Nana and Boppy, Aunts, cousins and the rest of the lake family. Pop Pop and Mema's Steelers room was one of his favorite locations to relax, especially when he was with them.

Keegan was part of the Plum Mustang Football Association and was everyone's favorite  teammate. He had a great time hitting, but was less interested in getting hit. His time on the sidelines with his teammates were some of his favorite moments. The friends he made there, at school, and in the neighborhood were some of his very best.  Keegan would spend what seemed like countless hours playing with his friends up the street, as young boys do.

He was the best at entertaining his younger cousins, and his parents' friends' kids, and could do so for hours.

Keegan is survived by his adoring mom, Jennifer and loving sister, Addilyn.  Grandparents, Denise & Jeff Hohman, Donna & Jim Egan, Tom & Kathryn Clontz. Uncle Chris and Aunt Janna. Uncle Jim and Aunt Lisa. Uncle John and Aunt Jenn. Aunt Rachel and Aunt Ashley. Cousins Chase, Cody and Tyler. Uncle Nick & Aunt Kara, cousins Legend and Layla. Great-grandfather, Louis DiVittorio. Many great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be Chris Hohman, Will Wilson, Vinnie DiVittorio, Jim Tunney, Dan Rittmeyer, Tyler Egan.

The family strongly suggests in lieu of sending flowers to the funeral home: Donations can be provided via Gofundme:  https://gofund.me/aff43c05
or Venmo directly to Jennifer Clontz.
While the family appreciates the loving outreach from the local community and well wishes from across the country, they request that funeral attendees be limited to those who were directly touched by Keegan's life and respectfully ask that all media outlets respect the privacy of the family and friends at this event.

The Family and loved ones of Keegan wish to extend our sincere thanks for the overwhelmingly and beautiful outpouring of support.
