Lauren R.  Yaklich, 49 of Penn Hills passed away on Sunday July 27, 2025, at Family Hospice Inpatient Unit at Canterbury after a brave battle with cancer. Lauren was born on Oct 28, 1975, at Magee Women's hospital to Paula S. Yaklich (Spence) and Daniel J. Yaklich. Lauren was a graduate of Cheswick Christian Academy Class of 1994. She worked at Citi Financial in Chesapeake Virginia, later at a Legal firm as bill collector in Chesapeake. She moved back to Pittsburgh in 2005. She previously worked as the Operations Manager for Commercial Lending at PNC bank. She had been working as Assistant Vice President in the Line of Commercial Lending as a Learning Specialist at PNC bank until recently.

Lauren loved her three cats, Monkey, Metal, Pepper and Jason's bird, Blue. She loved getting together with her family/friends for game night. She loved road trips and looked forward to sibling movie night.

She was preceded in death by her mother Paula S. Yaklich and Uncle William J. Spence.

She is survived by her brother Jason D. Yaklich of Penn Hills, father Daniel J. Yaklich and stepmother Susan E. Yaklich of Delmont PA. She is also survived by her Aunt Peggy (Spence) Kuhn of Penn Hills, Uncle James Spence of Plum Boro, Aunt Catherine (Stansbury) Spence of Monroeville and Matt Harkins her boyfriend.

There will be a memorial service at BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC., at 421 Allegheny Ave Oakmont PA 15139 on Wednesday August 20, 2025 at 11am, 412-828-3535.  The family will begin receiving family and guests at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to 412 Animal Rescue in Verona, PA 15147.  This was Lauren's birthday request, and we feel it would be a more fitting way to honor her life.

Her words are, as follows" For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to 412 Animal Rescue. I've chosen this nonprofit because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope you'll consider contributing as a way to celebrate with me"

All are welcome to join us at The Oakmont United Methodist Church 419 Maryland Ave Oakmont PA 15139, for a meal together with family after the service.
