Lawrence E. "Larry" Sullivan, age 78 of Oakmont, passed away on Thursday December 7, 2023, at UPMC Mercy Hospital.

He was the son of the late Eleanor (Dumm) Baenig and Arthur B. Sullivan. Beloved husband of the late Diane (Cameron) Sullivan for 46 years. Loving father of Kathleen (Raymond) Romeo and Brigid (Adam) Brown. Brother of Art (Margie) Sullivan, Mary Ellen (late Donald Fishel) Sullivan, and the late Paul Sullivan. Grandfather of Ryan and Nora Romeo.

Larry grew up in Wilkinsburg and attended Saint Vincent College. He worked as a coal miner, a house painter, and a custodian for Riverview School District. Larry was an avid reader, assembled a large personal library, and loved sharing his knowledge with others. He enjoyed fishing, playing chess, and spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered as a very giving and generous person.

The family welcomes friends and family to a memorial at his home on January 6, 2024, from 12-8. In honor of Larry, we welcome people to plant a tree in support of Ryan's tree project or donate to a similar project at nature.org .
