Lillian Marie (Symons) Hren age 97, of Longwood at Oakmont, formerly of Regent Square and Swissvale passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023.

Beloved wife of the late Robert Hren.

Loving mother of Karen (Larry) Modena, the late Bobby Wayne Hren, Suzi Chesko and Ellie (Joseph) Perry. Proud and loving Gram of John and Jodi Chesko and Joe and Jade Perry; loving GiGi (great-grandmother) of Luca and Ashton Chesko. She is survived by her cousin Jean Robinette of Germantown, Md. She is also survived by many other beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sister Eleanor (Symons) Howell.

Lillian loved her many years as Director of the Swissvale Senior Citizens Center and also enjoyed her time as Judge of Elections for Swissvale.

Her radiant smile touched the hearts of everyone who knew her.
She never met a person she didn't like. She had a beautiful and positive attitude about life. Even though her life, at times, was quite a struggle, you would have never known it. Lilly-Belle was truly a gift from God, our gift, she was our mother.

Friends and guests will be received at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION AND ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont, PA 15139 on Wednesday October 25, 2023, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday October 26 in the funeral home with Rev. Laurie Lesoon officiating. Private interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
